Find Local FGC Events Near You

The Italy Events Map is an interactive geographic visualization that shows fighting game events and communities across Italy. Whether you are looking for a local weekly, a major tournament, or just want to find other players in your area, the map makes it easy to discover the Italian FGC scene.

How It Works

The map displays pins for every community and event that has a registered location on Spaghetti Showdown. Each pin is color-coded:

• Blue pins — Active communities with regular meetups or tournaments
• Orange pins — Upcoming tournament events
• Green pins — Gaming venues, bars, or spaces that host FGC events
• Gold pins — Major events or national-level tournaments

Zoom in to see events in your specific city or region, or zoom out for a national overview of the Italian FGC landscape. The map is fully interactive — click, drag, and scroll to navigate.

Finding Local Events

Click on any pin to see details about that location:

• Community pins show the community name, description, games played, meeting schedule, and a link to their community page on the platform
• Event pins show the tournament name, date, time, game, format, registration status, and a direct registration link
• Venue pins show the venue name, address, opening hours, and which communities use that space

Filtering the Map

Use the filter panel on the left side of the map to narrow down what you see:

• By Game — Show only events for a specific game (Street Fighter, Tekken, Guilty Gear, etc.)
• By Date — Filter to upcoming events this week, this month, or in a custom date range
• By Type — Show only communities, only events, or only venues
• By Region — Quick-select Italian regions like Lombardy, Lazio, Campania, etc.

Adding Your Community to the Map

If you run a community and want to appear on the map:

1. Go to your Community Settings
2. Set your location by entering your city or address — the map will geocode it to coordinates
3. Save — your community pin will appear on the map within minutes

If your community meets at a specific venue, you can associate the venue address with your community so players know exactly where to go.

Why the Map Matters

Italy has a vibrant but geographically distributed fighting game community. Players in smaller cities often do not know about nearby scenes. The events map solves this by making the entire Italian FGC visible at a glance:

• New players can find a local community to join and start competing
• Traveling players can look up events at their destination
• Tournament organizers can see where demand exists for events
• Community leaders can identify nearby communities for cross-community collaborations

Mobile Support

The Italy Events Map is fully responsive and works on mobile devices. Pull it up on your phone when you are traveling to quickly find the nearest FGC event or community meetup. Tap on pins for full details and use your phone GPS to center the map on your current location.
